For more about the modalities Greg uses, read below...

Sports Massage

Greg often incorporates techniques from the modalities described below during a session. His sports background has taught him the importance of stretching muscles, and he will ask if he can do stretching during the massage to help elongation and relaxation of the muscle.

Greg works with cyclists and often provides massages at local marathon races. There is always demand for his work, especially the stretches he incorporates as part of his treatments.

Swedish Massage

These massage treatments are good for overall relaxation. They help remove toxins, lactic acid and other metabolic waste products from your muscles leaving them feeling lighter, loose and refreshed. Greg's experience in sports makes him particularly aware of the needs of athletes, including marathoners, swimmers, bicyclists, and any sport that includes lifting, running and more. The Sports Massage techniques also use stretching and mobility movements to help bring relief to fatigued muscles.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanes technique the employs the use of pressure on recognized pressure points on the body's energy meridians. While this is a separate modality in itself, Greg often incorporates Shiatsu techniques into his treatments.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT) works to stretch and release the fascia (tissue that connects muscles and bones together) to release tension, increase freedom of movement and relieve painful tightness. This therapy is used exclusively by many therapists to treat injuries and range of motion loss incurred as a result of injuries.

Bowen Breath Works
Relief from Chronic Pain!

Bowen Breath Works (Bowtech) is a new concept in bodywork and is unique. Its relatively few, gentle "moves: over muscle and other soft tissue address the whole body, stimulating it to "reset" and heal itself. Healing may occur at all levels as needed: physical, chemical, emotional, mental, energetic, etc.

A Bowtech session is NOT a regular massage session, and consists of several series of gentle moves through light-weight clothing (or on skin). In a Bowtech office or clinic, the client usually lies on a bed or bodywork table, but can also be in a chair (if that is more comfortable).

Sessions last from fifteen minutes to an hour. It is surprising how often a very few sessions are needed to provide relief to complaints, whether structural or functional, even if they have been longstanding or chronic problems. In addition, the results will hold for a LONG TIME, usually until there is a re-injury.
